We have over 71 years combined experience and were the first local company to offer specialist auto air conditioning servicing in 1989.
It’s recommended that your air conditioning system is serviced every 2 or 3 years. Although refrigerant circulates throughout the system indefinitely, unlike your domestic refrigerator, an automotive air conditioner does have a lot of external factors that can cause a system to operate poorly or lose efficiency.
The automotive air conditioning system is put under stress through system vibration and there is continuous expansion and contraction of hoses and pipes under the different heat loads a system experiences.
During a routine service, the receiver drier, which is a canister containing desiccant is replaced and the system is pulled into a deep vacuum. This effectively boils off any moisture left and then the system is re-gassed with new dry refrigerant.
The refrigerant gas in auto air conditioning systems can be potentially harmful under high pressures and can cause severe cold burns and blindness, so repairs and maintenance is best done by an experienced professional.
If you aren’t sure about the state of your air conditioning system is in, our team can assess your AC system for free. We can provide a quote, and sometimes if only minor work is needed, we can take care of it right then and there.
You can be sure the team at Bindon Auto Electrical will service and maintain your vehicle’s air conditioning system to the highest standard.
